Yes. Royalty-free music is still copyrighted music and requires a valid license. “Royalty-free” does not mean copyright-free or free to use without permission. Your Foximusic license defines where and how you can use the track without paying recurring royalties for each use.
Which Foximusic license do I need for commercial use?
For most online commercial projects, choose the Standard License. It covers commercial use across online platforms, including client work, online marketing campaigns, digital advertising, sponsored content, videos, podcasts, and presentations. Choose the Extended License for broader uses such as television, radio, film, apps, video games, paid video courses, and other uses covered by the Extended License. For personal, non-commercial content on your own channels, the Basic License may be sufficient.
How long does a Foximusic music license last?
Foximusic licenses are perpetual, which means your usage rights do not expire as long as you use the music according to the terms of the license you purchased. There are no monthly renewal fees or recurring subscription payments required to keep the license active.
Can I use one music license in multiple videos or projects?
Yes. Unless otherwise stated in the Foximusic License Agreement, you can use a licensed Foximusic track in an unlimited number of projects within the usage rights of the license you purchased. The Basic License is limited to personal use, while the Standard and Extended licenses provide broader commercial usage rights.
Can I use Foximusic music for client work?
Yes, with the appropriate commercial license. The Standard License is designed for freelancers, agencies, businesses, and other professionals creating commercial online content or advertising for clients. The Basic License is intended for personal use and does not cover commercial client projects. Projects requiring broader broadcast, film, app, game, or other extended rights require the Extended License.
Can I monetize videos using Foximusic music on YouTube?
Yes. Foximusic licenses allow monetization when your project falls within the usage rights of the license you selected. The Foximusic catalog is Content ID cleared, so licensed tracks can be used in monetized YouTube content without Foximusic claiming your advertising revenue. Do I receive proof that I licensed the music?
Yes. Each Foximusic track you license comes with its own downloadable PDF License Certificate. You can access your license certificates from your Foximusic account together with your purchase records and invoices. Yes. Your usage rights depend on whether you purchase a Basic, Standard, or Extended License. You may use the music as part of projects covered by your license, but you may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or make the original audio file available as a standalone music product.
